WEEK TWO 3 – 10 August
Piano Course
Jan Loeffler director
A course for the amateur pianist and student that will explore problems of interpretation and technique over a wide range of keyboard repertoire and help students face specific demands, imaginative and practical, that each individual style requires.

Students are invited to bring any work of their own choice that they wish to play, ample time will be allotted for them to be heard and discussed throughout the week. At the same time a syllabus of works has been chosen to ensure that we cover, in performance and comment, as comprehensive a variety of styles as possible. It is hoped that each student will prepare at least one work from the list. Students will find it helpful to bring copies of the music on the syllabus, even pieces they are not going to play.
At the end of the week the course will give a concert. The selection of students to take part in this event will be at the sole discretion of the course director.
