General Information      including enrolment form

This is a course dealing in all aspects of piano accompaniment from sight-reading to performance on the concert platform. It is suitable for accompanists of all standards and through friendly, supportive and collaborative teaching will aim to develop ensemble skills through a wide range of repertoire (moderately easy to difficult) and with the help of a group of residential instrumentalists. A limited number of places will also be available for instrumentalists wishing to play the set repertoire - they are also encouraged to bring works of their own choice.

Apart from working in class on the set repertoire, students will have ample opportunity to make music with singers and other instrumentalists in the school during their free time. To this end, a large number of practice rooms are available for private practice.

The following pieces will be studied in detail and it is recommended that at least two works be prepared from the list but, familiarity with as many as possible is desirable.
